Job Description: The Pre-Health Professions Institute of Texas Christian University seeks a full-time instructor. This twelve-month position requires the applicant to design and teach departmental courses to prepare Pre-Health students to become well-rounded and successful applicants to professional school as well as specialty courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. In addition to teaching, a major duty will include writing letters of evaluation for professional school applicants during the summer. Other duties include advising, conducting mock interviews and assisting in program administration.
Minimum Qualifications: A PhD or equivalent degree (MD, EdD, etc) in an area related to the position is required. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, a statement of teaching philosophy, statement of mentoring/advising philosophy and CV. In addition, applicants should arrange for three confidential letters of evaluation to be sent on their behalf. Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring/advising will also be accepted.
