  • In Memoriam: Dr. Hugo Lane

We are saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Hugo Lane, a pivotal figure in NAAHP and a dedicated advocate for the field of pre-health advising. Dr. Lane was a respected faculty member at Wake Forest University, where he significantly contributed to the development of pre-health advising as a specialized field.

Dr. Lane's leadership extended through various roles within NAAHP, including a term as NAAHP President from 2000-2002. He was also recognized with the inaugural SAAHP Service Award in 2017 for his contributions to the profession. His legacy as a mentor, historian, and leader has profoundly impacted NAAHP and its members.
