    Duties / Responsibilities

    Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure): The Associate Dean of Admissions is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan, from prospective students and pathway programs through matriculation. The Associate Dean of Admissions reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions within the College of Medicine. Applicants will be considered for a full-time tenured or academic professional track (clinical or instructional) position. Applicants for the academic professional track position will be considered for the ranks of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor depending on qualifications. Applicants for the tenured position will be considered for the rank of Professor. The departmental home for the faculty appointment will be determined as appropriate given the candidate’s education and experience.

    Minimum Qualifications

    MD, DO, PhD, or EdD

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proven track record of managing and implementing a successful medical school admissions program
    • Familiarity and experience with accreditation and accountability standards
    • Demonstrated experience with an Admissions software system
    • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to plan and organize effectively
    • Administrative experience in leading and supervising a team
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
    • Candidates applying for full professor must also have a portfolio of research, service and teaching and have obtained tenure at a previous institution.
