This event will feature four incredible physicians who are making a difference on a population level:
- Dr. Brit Geisler (Aerospace Medicine): Join Dr. Geisler for a cosmic journey as she shares how she keeps pilots and astronauts healthy while they reach for the stars.
- Dr. Hunter Jackson Smith (Tropical Medicine & Global Emerging Infections): Dr. Smith will delve into the heart of global health, unraveling the mysteries of tropical diseases and emerging infectious threats.
- Dr. Susan Ching (Preventive Medicine): Discover how an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure as Dr. Ching shares how she empowers her patients to take control of their health before illness strikes.
- Dr. Marlon Tingzon (Global Health & Google Data Centers): From a Navy uniform to Google's data centers, Dr. Tingzon will discuss the unique challenges of caring for global health and ensuring the world's digital infrastructure stays as healthy as its users.
During the second hour, we'll have breakout rooms specifically for Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) students to speak with program directors and experts from each field. If you are a pre-med interested in the military, this is a unique opportunity to talk directly with physician recruiters from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as students and admissions officers from the Uniformed Services University (USU).
This month, we're also highlighting USU's MD/PhD program and its incredible opportunities.
