The MGH Institute has more than 1,500 full- and part-time students. Since its founding in 1977 by Massachusetts General Hospital, it has produced almost 6,700 graduates. Entry-level and post-professional programs in Nursing, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies, along with post-professional and pre-requisite courses are among the IHP’s offerings. In fall 2019 the first cohort for an entry-level masters in Genetic Counseling will matriculate.

All academic programs promote interprofessional teamwork through the school's unique IMPACT Practice module and offer personalized attention in a rigorous, collaborative learning environment that is driven by our faculty's professional expertise and scholarly accomplishments.

We invite you to campus to tour our IMPACT Practice Center, where student teams from across health professions deliver integrated services as part of their clinical education. By providing this free care under the supervision of the Institute's practicing clinical faculty, students enrolled in the nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and speech-language pathology programs receive a priceless benefit: real-life experience.

Specialized centers will address specific conditions through clinical expertise, research, and education.
