    Job Description: The Assistant Director of Admissions is responsible for overseeing the application process. This responsibility includes working closely with AACOMAS to obtain applications, actively engaging in the selection process for secondary application, including the prescreen committee and reject review and admissions committee. The Assistant Director of Admissions will participate in recruitment events both on campus and regionally as the need arises. Specific responsibilities include:

    * oversee all aspects of the application process
    * serve as primary point of contact for application issues with AACOMAS
    * participate in applicant interview days, open house events and  campus conversion activities
    * meet with prospective students and their families when visiting campus, provide campus tours
    *in collaboration with the Director of Admissions participate in or manage recruitment initiatives on- and off-campus
    *manage and/or collaborate, as needed, ICOM events, such as accepted students day, orientation, white coat ceremony, convocation, graduation

    Minimum Qualifications: 
    * a team player who values collaboration, mutual support and team cohesion
    * bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years experience working in higher education
    * computer proficiency utilizing current and new technology
    * ability to communicate effectively through oral and written channels
    * detail oriented with the ability to organize, direct and prioritize work
    * exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate tact, courtesy and discretion in dealing with faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public
    * a self-starter who is able to manage multiple, concurrent projects and exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations

    Preferred Qualifications:
    * previous experience in Osteopathic or Allopathic Medical College admissions or student services
    * experience using Apple products helpful
    * previous experience using a centralized application service
