    Job Description:
    • Develop and deliver timely, supportive health professions advising services to students.
    • Develop a personal advising plan with one-on-one advising throughout the student’s undergraduate career based on requirements of health professions programs and the student’s interests
    • e students for career/program choice, including course selection, clinical experiences, extra-curricular activities, professionalism, leadership skills, service orientation, interpersonal skills, interview skills, and application completion.
    • Conduct programming for students, including workshops on health professions, test preparation resources, career options, centralized application services, personal statement writing, interview skills, etc.
    • Assist with the coordination of Health Professions Office outreach and events, including Orientations, Open House, recruitment events, campus visits, etc.
    • Collaborate with the College Advising Offices, other advisors and faculty mentors, pre-health professions clubs, other units across campus, health professions programs, local/regional institutions/agencies, and the local healthcare community.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in student development, counseling, education, health sciences, sciences, or a related field.
    • Experience in advising, student support, and/or student development in higher education.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated experience related to sensitivity, confidentiality, and concern for students. Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in student development, counseling, education, health sciences, sciences, or a related field.
    • Experience in advising, student support, and/or student development in higher education. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
