    Job Description: Working under guidance of the Director of the Office of Pre-Professional Health Studies (PPHS), the Advisor 1 provides high-level support, advising and counseling for students who seek admission to Medical programs as well as other types of health profession programs such as Dental, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Optometry, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Podiatry and Veterinary Medicine. This position is involved in all aspects of advising and includes reviewing over ePortfolio documents, scheduling Pre-Health Evaluation Committee interviews, and disseminating information regarding requirements and timelines for selected career paths in the health professions. The focus is on academic advising and curriculum planning with students in an individual and in group settings. This position involves the development, coordination and implementation of educational counseling services geared to achieving, maintaining or improving student success to professional school. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications: 
    Required Education & Experience:
    Master's degree with six months or more of experience. Experience in an academic setting in higher education or related field preferred. Previous experience working with undergraduate students in an advising and coaching capacity on health-related topics is strongly preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications: 
    *Knowledge of HDML and CSS.
    *Knowledge and experience with web design programs.
    *Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
