NAAHP New Advisor Workshop Series - October 2021 through May 2022

Are you an advisor new to pre-health advising and/or new to NAAHP?  Do you wish/hope there were resources to help you advise your students better?  Do you wish you had someone to talk to and ask questions?  Do you have questions?  Good news!  We’re here to help!

Throughout the fall and spring, we will be offering a New Advisor Workshop Series that will cover the informational resource and community resources available through NAAHP, what should be included in your fall and spring advising plan, a review of resources available through NAAHP, a discussion of letters (committee letters and not committee letters), the reapplicant, personal statements and applications, “good advising,” best practices and more!

Eligibility: The October session is open to NAAHP member and nonmembers. November to May sessions are exclusively open to NAAHP members.

October - Session 1: Let’s Do This Together – AN Introduction to the NAAHP Community: National, Regional and Local

As a member of NAAHP, you have access to a wealth of opportunity to connect with others in our community and grow professionally. In this session, we will talk about how you can leverage the resources (physical, technological, educational and human) to more efficiently and effectively advise students.

Eligibility: The October session is open to NAAHP member and nonmembers.  November to May sessions are exclusively open to NAAHP members.

Not a Member? Join NAAHP today and take advantage of the entire series!

Recordings of sessions will be available for viewing after each session in the Member Media Archives.
