The Assistant Director for Health Professions Advising oversees the Health Profession Advising Unit. Health Profession (HP) advisors help prospective students, current students, and alumni prepare for health professions programs. More specifically, advisors assist students in exploring their interests in human clinical or animal health professions, understanding the curricular and co-curricular requirements needed to become competitive candidates for admission to professional schools, and evaluating their progress toward meeting these requirements. Additionally, HP advisors guide students in gaining appropriate and relevant experiences, preparing for entrance exams, choosing an appropriate list of potential clinical programs, and completing the application processes.
